Gaining insight into basic concepts, issues, terminology and explanatory approaches in the different subdisciplines of Physical Geography: field methods, GIS, laboratory methods, data evaluation and analysis, application competence.

Master's program "Geography"
Acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences in the fields of Theoretical and Applied Physical Geography for a professional career or PhD program; specialization module "Geomorphology and Risk Research" dealing with topics such as Global Change, material flows and natural hazards.

Master's program "Environmental Sciences"
Studying human-environment interactions (Focus: system-analytical competence), competence acquisition and methodical skills in different Geo- and Biosciences for a professional career or PhD program.

Didactics "Geography and Economics"
Gaining insight into basic concepts, issues, and methods in the different subdisciplines of Physical Geography with special consideration of didactical skills.

PhD program "Geography"
Preparation for a professional scientific career, top education on an international level, acquisition of independent research competence and leadership qualities.
